The neighbouring villages on the banks of the Tuva River are Navisubasuba, Batari, Vusama and Togabula, who also make up for 70% of our staff. The local Primary School at Batari village houses almost all pupils from the local villages.

Robinson Crusoe helps the school making ends meet by running Guest Village Visits that contribute $10 per guest. We also run fundraising Raffles and Change Jars at the bar and reception.

This great working relationship has helped special projects like new classrooms, teacher accommodation and new flush toilet systems to name a few. Many of the guests give donations of books, toys, clothing, school items, computers and cash and with this support many of the children to do very well in their education.
